According to the British Defense Ministry, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to the ‘occupied’ territories of Ukraine suggests the formation of a new group of forces. Following Putin’s visit to the annexed regions, the Kremlin said that the president visited the “Dnepr Group of Forces” – which according to the UK is the first time that such a group has been mentioned. British Intelligence says that the Kremlin’s mention of the “group of forces” suggests that the initial organisation structure of Russian forces in Ukraine has changed, probably due to heavy losses.
